Adult ADHD and Autism Assessments

Adult ADHD and Autism Assessments

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder are both neurodevelopmental differences that can shape how someone experiences the world.

For people who are Autistic, have ADHD, or both, things like focusing, social interaction, and communication may feel especially challenging that can lead to frustration, misunderstanding, or isolation.

But with the right support, tools, and self-understanding, Autistic and ADHD adults can navigate life on their own terms, build meaningful connections, and thrive.

Getting an Assessment: The First Step Toward Understanding ADHD and Autism

If you’re wondering whether you might be Autistic or have ADHD, getting a thorough assessment is often the first step toward clarity and support. A trained professional, like a therapist, psychologist, or other clinician, can help you explore your experiences and identify the patterns and challenges that may be linked to ADHD and/or Autism.

The assessment process could include conversations, questionnaires, and observations that look at how you think, process information, interact, and manage emotions. It’s not about labeling you. It's about understanding how your brain works so you can better advocate for yourself and access the support you need.

Supporting Autistic and ADHD Adults Toward a Better Quality of Life

Many Autistic and/or ADHD adults spend years navigating life without a clear explanation for why certain things feel harder. From staying organized, to managing emotions, to connecting with others in ways that feel natural. An assessment can be a turning point.

Getting assessed as an adult isn't just about getting a diagnosis, it’s about gaining insight. A comprehensive evaluation helps you understand how your brain works and why certain patterns show up in your life. From there, you can explore personalized tools and support, whether that’s therapy, coaching, medication, or lifestyle changes that actually fit you.

At Life In Bloom Therapy, we specialize in working with neurodivergent adults. Our team offers respectful, thorough assessments and ongoing support to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Whether you're looking for in-person sessions or the convenience of online assessment, we’re here to meet you where you are.

Cost of Services

Our team is experienced in working with neurodivergent adults and is here to walk with you through the assessment process with care and understanding. We offer services specifically for adults (18+) who are exploring whether they might be Autistic, have ADHD, or both.

To meet different needs and goals, we offer two (2) flexible options for those seeking clarity, validation, or a deeper understanding of their neurotype.

Option 1: Neurodivergence Screening (“Neuro Screening”)

$300 | 90 minutes | No diagnosis provided

  • This screening focuses specifically on ADHD and Autism traits. You'll answer questions about your history, experiences, and challenges. Your responses are reviewed against DSM-5 criteria.

  • You'll receive feedback during the session, and your provider will help you decide if moving forward with a full diagnostic assessment makes sense.

  • Please note: Screenings are not billable to insurance and do not provide a formal diagnosis.

Option 2: Diagnostic Clinical Assessment

$1,000 | 3-hour interview + 30-min follow-up | Formal diagnosis provided

  • This in-depth assessment explores your traits, history, and challenges which include areas beyond ADHD and Autism. Your provider will carefully evaluate your responses, rule out common misdiagnoses, and compare findings to DSM-5 criteria.

  • You’ll receive a detailed diagnostic report within 2–4 weeks. During the follow-up session, your provider will review the findings, answer questions, and share recommendations.

  • Please Note: This service is not billable to insurance.

Our 2-step process is designed to give you options. You can move through the assessment at a pace that feels right for you and choose whether to continue based on your goals or the results of the initial screening. This also gives you the ability to spread out the cost over time.

If the screening provides the clarity or validation you need, there’s no pressure to move forward with a full diagnostic evaluation unless you want to.
